Kabir Khan’s 83’s trailer is finally out and fans are getting nostalgic with emotions of Team India’s surprising World Cup win. The long wait for Ranveer Singh’s 83 finally came to an end.
The trailer was released on Tuesday. Since April, the release of the film got delayed multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. In the trailer, the director Kabir Khan takes viewers from the Indian team ‘no one had no hope with’ went from being called the underdogs to India’s surprising win in the Men’s Cricket World Cup in 1983 against everyone’s favourite West Indies team.
What is in the Trailer?
The trailer released is almost of 4 minutes, which starts from India’s knockout match against Zimbabwe on 18th June 1983. Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev taking shower thinking that he has more than enough time before getting down in the field to bat.
But he was continuously being interrupted by his teammates when India was losing wickets. When he felt disturbed and came out he found out India already lost 4 wickets for only 9 runs on the board. The crucial situation was shown how the matter was hot that moment, but eventually, tables were about to turn.

Artists in the Trailer
Ranveer Singh steps into the shoes of the Former Indian captain. Singh carries similarities of Dev. Deepika Padukone is starring as the captain’s wife Romi Dev and is shown supporting Kapil outside the field in multiple short scenes.
Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of the manager of the team PR Man Singh and can be seen telling Kapil, “It’s been 35 years since we won independence, but we are yet to win respect, captain”
The film also stars Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Dhairya Karwa, Chirag Patil, Boman Irani, etc.
