In a heartbreaking occurrence that highlights Pakistan’s predicament of minorities, a minor Hindu boy was allegedly sexually abused and brutally murdered in Pakistan’s Sindh province.

Kaana Sachdev’s body was spotted in a deserted house in Babarloi, Khairpur Mir, after he went missing on Friday evening, as per his family. He was a fifth-grader who was born in 2011, a family relative stated, saying that the entire area was terrified after the tragic incident.
The horrifying act has sparked outrage in India, with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemning the boy’s death and sharing his grief. Sirsa has also requested that the Centre and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar assess the issue.

“Minorities in Pakistan have to pay this price! I’m heartbroken by the story that a 10-year-old grade 5 student in Dohon, Khairpur, Sindh, Pakistan, was raped and murdered by a group. I can’t understand the family’s sadness and despair,” Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote.

In Pakistan, minorities’ law and order positions are in serious danger. I ask India’s government, led by Dr. S Jaishankar, to inquire into this situation and the safety and wellbeing of Pakistan’s minority, in another Twitter post, he said,

Atrocities against Hindus and other minorities have been reported in Pakistan in numerous instances.
Hindus are Pakistan’s largest religious minority, as per the 2017 statistics, while Christians are the second-largest religious minority. In Pakistan, noteworthy religious minorities include the Ahmadis, Sikhs, and Parsis.
The Child’s Body Had Been Tortured: Zubair Mahar
The Hindu child was strangled to death and sexually molested, as per the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Babarloi police station. The minor’s body had also been tortured, as per Zubair Mahar of the Child Protection Authority Sukkur.
Zubair Mahar also added, “A little girl from the Hindu community in Saleh Pat, Sukkur area went missing recently, the police have also declared a Rs 2.5 million reward for her retrieval, but it has been wasted.”
