Recently, Actress Tanishaa Mukerji, 43, has revealed that she got her eggs frozed when she turned 39. She also revealed that she did it under complete precautionary medications. Tanishaa is Actress Kajol’s sister and she has been seen in movies like ‘Neal n Nikki’, ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Sarkar Raaj’.
The reason behind Tanishaa’s big step
The actress in a recent interview said that she wanted to freeze her eggs at the age of 33, however, her doctor had advised her against it. Tanishaa’s doctor told her to freeze her eggs only when she had ‘no hope of conceiving a baby’.

Calling it a ‘personal choice’, Tanishaa said that she believes it is okay for women to not have children. She also said that it is okay for women to not get married or be in a relationship.

What is Egg Freezing?
Egg freezing, also known as mature oocyte cryopreservation, is a method used to save women’s ability to get pregnant in the future. Eggs harvested from your ovaries are frozen unfertilized and stored for later use. A frozen egg can be thawed, combined with sperm in a lab and implanted in your uterus (in vitro fertilization).

The Procedure and after-effects of it
The actress revealed that she gained a lot of weight as it involves taking Progesterone. She said that she had to follow a ‘hardcore’ fitness regime to get back in shape. To which she said that she had to work out twice a day at times just to stay fit and also she was advised a healthy diet which she followed obediently.
Brief about Tanishaa’s industry career
Tanishaa Mukerji made her Bollywood debut with ‘Sssshhh…’ in 2003. After starring in some not-so-successful films, then after a short break she participated in Salman Khan’s popular reality show ‘Big Boss 7’, where she gained a lot of attention for her romance with Armaan Kohli.
She was also a contestant in ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’. She recently made an entry in the digital space with the short film ‘Life Is Short’. Directed by Vikram Razdan, Tanishaa plays the role of Debika, a schizophrenic superstar who has a dark and delusional character sketch. ‘Life Is Short’ has been screened at NFDC Film Bazaar and New Jersey Indian & International Film Festival (NJIIFF).
