After buying Twitter, Elon Musk has come out and joked about buying Coca-Cola “to put the cocaine back in”. In another tweet that followed, Musk claimed that he can do miracles and shared screenshot of a tweet which read – “Now I’m going to buy McDonald’s and fix all the ice cream machines”. Given Musk’s routine of taking to Twitter and share some random, sometimes funny-sometimes strange tweets, many netizens are not taking Musk’s claims of buying Coca-Cola and McDonald’s seriously.
The news comes just days after Twitter finally accepted Musk’s offer of taking over the company at a price of $44 billion. The world’s richest man will own the micro-blogging platform by the end of the year, reports claim. Following the buyout, many influential and common Twitter users, from both far-left and far-right, opposed Twitter getting bought by Musk.
Meanwhile, Musk after buying the platform said that he will “unlock” Twitter’s potential. In a statement, Musk said he’s planning to make Twitter algorithms open source, authenticate humans and defeat bots.
The Facts of the Matter
You can hate him or you can love him but it’s very darn impossible to ignore Elon Musk. The richest man in the world, Musk has embodied the character of a larger-than-life person who’s making rocket ships (SpaceX) and electric vehicles (Tesla)in the day, and sharing some bizarre and often funny tweets on social media platform Twitter.
And if there were people unaware of Musk, his recent shopping has made him more popular than any other figure living today. Earlier this week, Elon Musk was reported to have bought Twitter for $44 billion.
Elon Musk on a Tweet-Bender, To Buy Coca-Cola Next?
Following the deal, Musk has been on a tweeting-bender. The 50-year-old entrepreneur and billionaire recently took to his on social media platform and shared a tweet which can only be considered a joke.
“Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in”, Musk’s tweet read.

Musk’s Indian friend, Pranay Pathole also took to Twitter and shared a picture of the first publicly sold bottle of Coca-Cola which allegedly contained 3.5 grams of cocaine. As often, Musk replied to Pathole’s tweet with “Kicks Red Bulls ass!”.

Why was Cocaine Used in Coca-Cola?
It should be noted that Coca-Cola did indeed have cocaine as an ingredient back when it was first brought to the world. The ingredient was taken from coca leaf and a second ingredient – caffeine, was taken from the cola nut. Hence – Coca-Cola. Back in 1890s cocaine was allowed as a medicinal drug in the US.
What are the Chances of Elon Musk Buying Coca-Cola?
The reason why both media and masses are considering Musk’s tweet as a joke is mere facts. While Elon’s buyout of Twitter at $44 billion may sound a lot, compared to Coca-Cola’s market-cap, it’s peanuts. For the unversed, Coca-Cola’s market cap is $284, six times the price at which Twitter was bought.
Even Musk’s own net-worth, which is currently reported to be $253 billion, may not be enough to pay for the item in his basked.
However, one must discount Elon Musk who became the owner of world’s biggest electric car company, and the world’s richest man, AND is also on his way to put the first man on Mars. It was just in 2017 that he first took to Twitter and “joked” about buying Twitter. Fast forward five years later and the company is in his kitty.

“I can do miracles”: Elon Musk to Buy McDonald’s
In a separate tweet, Musk posted a picture of another tweet with a caption that read – “Listen, I can do miracles ok”. The picture meanwhile carried a tweet which read – “Now I’m going to buy McDonald’s and fix all of the ice cream machines.
