The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given Lok Sabha MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi Z category protection of the Central Reserve Police Force, a day after shots were fired at his car in western Uttar Pradesh (CRPF). With the exception of protection at his residential area, Owaisi’s protection detail will include six to eight-armed commandos while he travels, according to sources.
Actions After the Incident
Following the assassination attempt of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the central government examined his safeguards. According to credible sources, after analysing Owaisi’s security, the government has offered him with Z category CRPF security with effect immediately. On Thursday evening, Asaduddin Owaisi’s convoy was attacked. According to Owaisi, the assailants shot four bullets. The police have apprehended two suspects in the case who began firing on Asaduddin Owaisi’s car. According to police, Sachin and Shubham, the suspect of firing, stated that Owaisi made the statement about the Ram temple in 2013-14, which caused them pain. That’s why he went after Owaisi’s car.

Why was Owaisi targeted?
Prashant Kumar, ADG Public order, stated at a news conference on Friday that perhaps the accused stated during questioning that they got hurt by Asaduddin Owaisi’s comment about the Ram temple in 2013-14. According to a senior UP Police official, the detained accused Sachin and Shubham were deeply upset by Asaduddin Owaisi’s anti-religious remarks. As a result, he decided to carry out this episode.

Statement of the Victim
Owaisi claimed he was attacked on his way back from a roadshow in Meerut. “I was on the road in Meerut and Kithau. Bullets were fired at my car as I was returning. My car handled to elude capture. I’ve only seen two people. One was dressed in a red hoodie, while the other was dressed in a white jacket. My car’s tyre had a puncture, so I changed cars after about 2-3 kilometres. I spoke with the additional SP, who informed me that one person had been arrested and that weapons had been recovered. My car has three bullet holes in it. The forensic team will investigate, according to the SP.”

The UP Police Department Forwarded a report to the Election Commission and the Lok Sabha
Sachin lives in Gautam Budh Nagar and Shubham Saharanpur, as per the police. Sachin was also found with an illegal 9 mm pistol. The Uttar Pradesh Police Department has submitted a detailed report on the matter to the Election Commission and the Lok Sabha. In a Twitter post on Friday, Owaisi said, “I am neither afraid nor going to take security. My election campaign will continue. If there is power in any mother’s red, please demonstrate it by hitting”.
