Amid the surge of dog attacks, another shocking incident was reported where a 65-year-old elderly man, who worked as a UNICEF doctor, was reportedly mauled to death by a pack of vicious stray dogs in Aligarh, inside the AMU campus. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, visuals of which have since gone viral and have been making rounds of social media. The victim in the matter was identified as 65-year-old Dr Safdar Ali and the incident took place earlier on Sunday at around 6.30 am.
Safdar Ali had reportedly stepped out for his daily walk, but little did he know that this morning would turn out to be his last. The horror of the incident was caught on camera, with the video footage capturing the dogs dragging Ali’s lifeless body across the park. According to reports, the victim was ambushed by a pack of stray dogs.
The dogs attacked him mercilessly, biting and clawing at him with all their might. Ali fought back with all his strength, but he was no match for the ferocity of the pack. The incident also shed light on a growing problem in the region – the issue of stray dogs.
In response to the increase in the number of dog attacks in the area, the Ghaziabad district near Noida imposed a ban on three dog breeds – Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and Dogo Argentinos – as pets.

Elderly Man Attacked by Stray Dogs While on Morning Walk
In a shocking incident that has left the local community reeling, an elderly man was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The incident took place on a Sunday morning in the campus of Aligarh Muslim University, where the man, identified as 65-year-old Dr Safdar Ali, was out for his regular walk in the park.

The attack was captured in a video that later surfaced online, showing a pack of stray dogs attacking the man, who fell to the ground and was then dragged across the park by the dogs. The disturbing CCTV footage shows the victim simply standing as a pack of stray dogs ambush him.
The victim tries to shoo off one of the dogs. However, the pack forces him to back off into a corner. Unfortunately, the victim loses his balance and falls on the ground.
What follows is the victim being mercilessly mauled by a pack of dogs as he tries to fight back and defend himself. The victim is seen to be no match for the pack of dogs, who continue attacking him from all directions, biting his face, neck, arms and legs.

Despite the efforts of the police team that rushed to the scene, Ali succumbed to his injuries. His body was later sent to post-mortem. Meanwhile, the AMU has not issued an official statement in their response to the tragedy.
