An American YouTuber and an Indian man are going viral on YouTube for singing a Hindi Bollywood song on the streets of New York. Reginald Gilloum, with his guitar and Gaurang Rakholia sang a Kishor Kumar’s song ‘Dilbar mere kab tak mujhe, aise hi tadpaoge.’ This 3.35 minutes video has been viewed by more than 4.3 million users. The YouTuber Reginald Gilloum is making this vlog, ‘Sing With Me’ since 2018 for creating musical experiences to make people free and happy.
Details of the Interaction
The YouTuber, Gilloum was waiting alongside the street with a guitar and requesting people if they are interested to sing with him for his vlog. Many people passing by refused to sing with Gilloum, one of which was Gaurang too. Gaurang refused, saying that he doesn’t know English songs. However, Gilloum tried to stop him asking him “What language do you speak. “After a few seconds Gaurang changed his mind and returned to Gilloum. Seeing Gaurang return Gilloum expressed, ” Oh, he is coming again. How are you.” Gaurang informed Gilloum that he knew only Hindi songs to which Gilloum replied, “Perfect.” Gaurang was amazed by his reaction thinking how would Gilloum be able to sing with him. Gilloum said, “ It will only take me a minute to listen to a song that you like, and then I’ll just play for you. I can do that fast. What’s your favorite Bollywood song.”
The Performance
Impressed with his confidence, Gaurang stated the song he was interested in singing. Gaurang chose an old Bollywood song from the 90’s movie, ‘Satte pe Satta’, ‘Dilbar mere kab tak mujhe, aise hi tadpaoge’ sung by Kishor Kumar. Gilloum played the song on his cellphone and listened to it using his headphones. While listening to the song, Gilloum expressed, “I already like it.” And within a minute he was ready with his guitar to play the song saying, “Let’s do it.” Gilloum handed over his mic to Gaurang after sanitizing it properly and both of them started performing with ease on the streets of New York.
On completion of their performance, Gilloum greeted Gaurang with “dhanyavaad”, to which he responded, “Thank you.” Gilloum appreciated Gaurang for singing with him saying that he has a great voice. Gilloum asked Gaurang whether he used to sing before, to which Gaurang replied, “I used to have karaoke at my home.” Gaurang expressed that he was glad that he returned to sing with Gilloum. Gilloum asked how could he send this video to Gaurang, to which he said, “You can text it to me.” Gaurang shared his mobile number with Gilloum. Once again they greeted each other and Gilloum said, “It’s a wrap.”

Reginald Gilloum, the YouTuber posted the video with a description saying his vlog series, ‘Sing With Me’ is all about making people happy and free by creating musical experiences. He mentioned that he has been making this vlog since 2018. On the post, Gaurang commented, “I am feeling really glad that I came back to sing with you! Reggie you are really awesome! I was literally in shock when you responded ‘perfect’ to what I said about knowing only Hindi (songs).” Gaurang expressed his happiness to change his decision and sing through his comment.
Whereas Bryan Rodrigues commented,” Gaurang – You are trending in India. I love the fact that you rethought your decision after walking away and giving it a try as there is nothing to lose at all but to spread love through music.”
