Anand Bhosle, Asha Bhosle’s son was reportedly admitted to a Dubai hospital’s ICU after he collapsed on floor due to dizziness. The concerning incident happened earlier when Anand Bhosle, son of legendary singer Asha Bhosle and legendary composer R.D. Burman, was residing in Dubai.

According to an ETimes report, the incident has sent a wave of shock across the Bhosle and Mangeshkar family who have been reeling with the loss of Lata Mangeshkar. Although the cause of the health scare has not been reported as of yet, ETimes report stated that Asha Bhosle in all likelihood will continue staying in Dubai and won’t be coming back to Mumbai any time soon.

It should be noted that Asha Bhosle has dealt with multiple losses in the past few years. Earlier this year, her sister and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away. Back in 2015, her son Hemant passed away at 66 after fighting a battle with cancer. In 2012, Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha committed suicide by using a licensed gun.

The Facts of the Matter

It has been tumultuous year for Asha Bhosle and her family. The 88-year-old legendary singer was shell-shocked earlier this year when her singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away due to multiple-organ failure. Barely two months after the tragic demise, Asha Bhosle was once again thrown in a state of shock. This time, due to her son’s own health scare.

Anand Bhosle Shifted to Room: Reports

Anand Bhosle, the youngest son of Asha Bhosle and R.D. Burman, was recently rushed to a Dubai hospital after he collapsed on the floor and sustained some injuries. The incident transpired a few days back and an ETimes report shed a light on it earlier on Wednesday. Reportedly, Anand was initially put into observation in an ICU, but was later shifted to a room.

Asha Bhosle Not Likely to Return Mumbai

The incident once again stirred the Bhosle and Mangeshkar family and various members of each of the families are trying to check on Anand’s health on calls, ETimes reported. The report also mentioned that Asha Bhosle herself was in Dubai when her son collapsed and gave a major health scare to the family. She has not decided to stay back and is most likely not returning to Mumbai any time soon.

Incident Comes Months After Lata Mangeshkar’s Demise

As mentioned above, the development comes just months after Asha Bhosle’s sister, Lata Mangeshkar passed away due-to multi-organ failure. The legendary singer was cremated with full-state honours. Her funeral was attended by various dignitaries and celebrities including, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.

After Lata Mangeshkar’s passing, Asha Bhosle gave a moving tribute at an event where she unveiled a large portrait of her deceased sister.

“When we were very young and our Baba (father, Deenanath) expired and then our Mai (mom Shevanti) also passed, it was Lata Didi who cared for us as parents. After her departure we have all been rendered as orphans. We never thought it would happen like this and could have lived for many more years,” Bhosle was quoted saying in a Koimoi report.

Both Asha Bhosle’s Son & Daughter Have Passed Away

Lata Mangeshkar’s demise was the third major loss for Bhosle in just a few years. Earlier in 2015, Asha Bhosle’s younger son Hemant passed away at 66. Hemant Bhosle was also a music composer who gave music to films such as Damad, and more.

In 2012, Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha had committed suicide after losing battle to depression. Reportedly she had used a family owned licensed gun at her South Mumbai residence. Varsha had also attempted suicide back in 2008 by consuming sleeping pills.
