Former England cricket team skipper Andrew Flintoff has reportedly been airlifted to a hospital following a shocking car crash. The all-rounder skipper was filming a Top Gear episode when he met with the accident, following which he had to be airlifted to a hospital. The horrific accident reportedly occurred at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in in Surrey, England. The 45-year-old former cricketer was filming a car review when he met with the accident.

After the accident, BBC issued a statement which read – “Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course”. The accident took place sometime around December 12.

The Sun quoted a source mentioning that Flintoff’s injuries are “not life-threatening”, and the cricketer had been “driving on the track as normal” and had not been driving at a high speed. “Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering,” the source was quoted saying.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Flintoff was involved in a car crash filming for Top Gear. Back in 2015, Flintoff survived another accident where he was driving at a speed of 125 mph while filming.

Not First Flintoff – Top Gear Accident

It should be noted that this is the second time Andrew Flintoff has been involved in a car crash while filming for the BBC show Top Gear. Back in 2019, when Flintoff became a presenter for the show, he walked away from a shocking “near-death” crash, claiming that he was “absolutely fine’.

In 2019, Freddie was racing at the Elvington airfield in York, and during a race, was filmed shouting “I can’t stop”, as his three-wheeled cycle car threw him head-first down a runway.
