Anupam Shyam’s brother recently revealed that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan had assured a dialysis center, but eventually stopped picking up his calls later. The revelation comes just a day after entertainment industry was shocked by the death of popular veteran actor Anupam Shyam. The late actor’s brother also revealed that the Anupam was quite upset after he got to know that his show will be pulled out of regular air.

On August 9, television industry veteran actor Anupam Shyam died due to multiple organ failures. He was 63 years old at the time of his death and lost the long battle with kidney failure and high blood sugar problem.

However, after his death, his brother Anurag recently gave an explosive interview where he not only claims that Anupam was unhappy during his last days, but also alleged that Bollywood perfectionist also didn’t keep his word he gave to Anupam.

What was the deal with Anupam Shyam and Aamir Khan?

It so happened that just a month before his own death, Anupam saw his mother leave him and his family as well. Unfortunately, Anupam couldn’t attend his own mother’s funeral which was to be held at Pratapgarh as the town had no dialysis center. For the unversed, Anupam Shyam was taking treatment with the help of kidney dialysis.

Later, Anupam went to see Aamir and asked him to set up a dialysis center in his Uttar Pradesh hometown Pratapgarh. Both Anupam and Aamir had worked together for multiple films (Lagaan and Mangal Pandey).

“Aamir assured Anupam about getting a dialysis centre built in Pratapgarh, but Anupam’s wish couldn’t get fulfilled while he was alive,”

-a teary-eyed Anurag said in his interview with Aaj Tak.

The Final Days – Receiving Financial Aid from UP CM, Love from Fans

Anurag also shared how the late actor was humbled and moved by the love he received during his final days. Referring to the fact that in his last days, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sent Shyam’s family financial assistance and Shyam also received a lot of fan messages, Anurag said how Anupam was overwhelmed on such actions.

“When we were incapable of getting the best treatment for my brother Anupam, many people, including the CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath sent us money. I showed Anupam messages of fans on my phone and seeing so much love from his fans, Anupam got teary-eyed. He continued crying in gratitude,”

-Anurag told Aaj Tak.

“But what broke him was that last month he couldn’t attend our mother’s funeral in Pratapgarh since the town has no dialysis centre,”

-Anurag further added.

Unhappy with Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2

Moreover, the late actor’s brother shared how his ailing brother saw his health deteriorate further after he got to know that the show, he’s casted in would go off air soon. Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 is the sequel of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya and stars Anupam Shyam as the patriarch of a traditional family. Anurag in his interview with Aaj Tak was quoted saying-

“He was passionate about his work. So, when he heard from someone that Pratigya 2 might go off air soon, he got worried about the finances.”

Although Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya gave him the massy recognition he never had in his past, he did act in some critically acclaimed films like Academy Award winning film Slumdog Millionaire, National Film Award winning film Bandit Queen and more.

He’s survived by his siblings Anurag and Kanchan.
