Shark Tank judge Ashneer Grover recently approved YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s ‘Sasta Shark Tank’ spoof video’. “What acting! Sasta and tikau”, commented Ashneer, reacting to the video. Ashish Chanchlani recently released a spoof of famous Indian reality show Shark Tank India, where he along with his co-actors, impersonated the real ‘sharks’ from the reality show.
The spoof, called Sasta Shark Tank, was released earlier on Friday and since has been Trending on YouTube. The video has amassed over 2.3 crore views with fans of Chanchlani responding favourably to the spoof’s idea and execution. In the spoof, the judges are – Paneer Grover (BharatPe’s Ashneer Grover), Babita Papad (Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ Namita Thapar), Chaman Gutka (boAT’s Aman Gupta) and Uttapam Misal (Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal).
What makes the video palatable is the simplicity of it. Much like Shark Tank India, Sasta Shark Tank shows various entrepreneurs making their way into the tank as the judges mentioned above hear their pitches. In the trending video, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani can be seen playing the character of ‘Paneer Grover’ himself.

Ever since Shark Tank India premiered, it has triggered an avalanche of memes, spoofs and controversies. Comedy YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani has jumped on the bandwagon with his hilarious take on the reality tv and recently shared a spoof called ‘Sasta Shark Tank’. The almost 33-minute spoof has already been labeled hit with over 2.3 crore views on YouTube. The spoof video has remained on top of the ‘Trending’ section of YouTube since its release.
While netizens and Chanchlani fans have reacted positively to the spoof, the ‘OG Shark’ aka Ashneer Grover himself recently reacted to the video and gave it a thumbs-up. It so happened that Chanchlani shared the promotional video of the spoof on his Instagram.

OG Shark Ashneer Grover Reacts to ‘Paneer Grover’
Chanchalani’s video not only received the love of his fans and followers, but from the judge of the original show himself. Former BharatPe MD Ashneer Grover reacted to the video and commented, “Hilarious! What acting by all the Sharks !! Sasta and Tikau (cheap and lasting)”.
The almost 33-minute-long spoof’s simplicity is its genius as it simply follows the format of the show. In the spoof, the each ‘shark’ has a name that’s similar to the original judges from the show, yet hilariously different.

The spoof features judges like Paneer Grover (a word-play on Ashneer Grover of BharatPe), Chaman Gutka (Aman Gupta of boAT), Babita Papad (Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), and Uttapam Misal (Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com). AshsishChanchlani plays the character of Paneer Grover.
In the spoof, ‘entrepreneurs’ make their pitches in front of the ‘judges’ on a set that looks similar to the original set of the show. However, as the nature of a comedy skit demands, the pitches, the entrepreneurs and the judges all present an exaggerated version of the original self to evoke laughter.

Meanwhile, on YouTube, the spoof has garnered hundreds of comments, with netizens appreciating the acting skills of the actors along with the script of the spoof.
“The way Ashish mimicked Ashneer was commendable.. his accent , his voice , his dialogues , his gestures… evn the laugh … All these were too good,” a netizen with username Bhaswati Kumari commented.
