In a blood-curdling incident reported from Bengaluru, a jilted lover was arrested after he stabbed a woman over 16 times in public view over rejecting marriage proposal. The incident was reported from Murugeshpalya, east Bengaluru, and occurred earlier on Tuesday. The accused in the matter was identified as 28-year-old Dinakar Banala while the victim has been identified as Leela Pavithra Nalamati.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Murugeshpalya, where the victim worked at Omega Healthcare Management Services Private Limited. The accused is also an employee of a healthcare company located in Domlur.

The accused had been waiting outside the victim’s office and had an argument with her before pulling out a knife and stabbing her over 16 times in full public view. The police were informed about the incident, and the accused was arrested and charged with murder. The victim’s family and colleagues are in a state of shock, while the police are conducting further investigations into the case.

As per preliminary investigation, the accused and victim had fallen in love five years ago and wanted to get married. However, the victim’s family refused to accept the groom as he belonged to a different caste. Recently, when the victim informed the accused that she would abide by her family’s decision and not marry him, he committed the crime.

The Facts of the Matter

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing his estranged lover, a 25-year-old woman, to death in front of her office in Murugeshpalya, east Bengaluru. The victim in the incident has been identified as Leela Pavithra Nalamati, an employee of Omega Healthcare Management Services Private Limited in Murugeshpalya, while the accused has been identified as Dinakar Banala.

Victim’s Family Refused Marriage Over Caste Difference

Further Investigation On

Jeevan Bhima Nagar police were informed about the incident and rushed to the spot. The police have registered a murder case against Dinakar and arrested him. The victim’s family and colleagues are in a state of shock, while the police are conducting further investigations into the case.

Leela was an MSc graduate and had been working with Omega Healthcare. The accused worked with Logis Healthcare in Domlur. The two had met for the first time while working in a healthcare firm and later fell in love, according to the police
