In another shocking road rage incident reported from Bengaluru, a woman dragged a man on a car’s bonnet after she allegedly had a minor argument with the man. The woman, along with four other persons, were later identified and arrested. The accused woman was identified as Priyanka, and she was driving the Tata Nexon, when the incident took place.
In the video of the incident gone viral, a group of two-wheeler drivers on their vehicles are seen trying to intercept and block the Tata Nexon as it speeds up with a man on its bonnet, struggling to tightly hold the speeding car. In another separate CCTV footage, the same car can be seen speeding up with the man on its bonnet.
An India Today report quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic west), saying that man struggling on the car’s bonnet, was identified as Darshan. Darshan was reportedly driving a Swift when the two had an argument over a collision.
Priyanka reportedly showed her a finger and speed up her vehicle. Darshan jumped the car’s bonnet, and Priyanka continued to drive the car for several hundred meters before stopping the car. After the car was stopped, Darshan and his friends damaged Priyanka’s car.
Both the sides have registered a case against each other and an investigation is on.
The Facts of the Matter
Days after a 71-year-old man from Bengaluru was dragged by a two-wheeler driver over an argument about an accident, a similar incident has been reported from the city. This time, another man was seen being dragged by a Tata Nexon, which was reportedly being driven by a woman. According to reports, the man and the woman had an argument over accident, and the woman decided to leave the spot, prompting the man to jump on the car bonnet, and being dragged for several hundred meters.
The incident was both recorded from CCTV and mobile phones of locals.

What Does the Video Show
In one of the videos gone viral, a group of two-wheeler drivers are seen trying to block a black coloured Tata Nexon to stop it from being driven further. The car is surrounded by the group of two-wheeler drivers, and continues to be driven. In a few seconds, one can see that the black coloured car is being driven with a man hanging onto its bonnet.
In a second video, a CCTV footage, the car can be seen speeding through the road with the man on the bonnet.

What Caused the Incident
As per reports, the car was being driven by a woman identified as Priyanka and the man being dragged was earlier driving a Maruti Swift. The two cars collided in the Jnana Bharathi nagar area, following which the Swift driver, Darshan had an argument with Priyanka. Priyanka reportedly showed him a finger, and started the car’s ignition to leave.
In a bid to stop Priyanka from leaving the scene, Darshan jumped on the car’s bonnet, and was later dragged for several hundred meters. After Priyanka stopped her car, Darshan and his friends damaged the car.
Both Sides File Case Against Each Other
Meanwhile, both the sides have filed an FIR against each other. Darshan filed a case against Priyanka under Section 307 (attempt to murder), Darashan and his friends are booked under Section 354 (outraging modesty of woman).
