A man in Bihar recently sang the popular Bhojpuri song ‘Daroga Ji’ inside the lock up in Buxar after being drunk and detained. The video of the incident shows the detained man singing in a melodious voice, serenading the cops and those who were at the spot. Further, he also dedicates the song to the cop, and addresses him as ‘Daroga Ji’, a reference to the song’s title.

According to reports, the detained man was identified as Kanhaiya Kumar, a Kaimur, Bihar resident. Reports have stated that Kumar was roaming the streets in Mufassil police station area in an inebriated state. For being under the influence at a public place Kumar was booked and detained. However, making the lemonade out of the limes he was given, Kumar decided to make merry inside the jail, singing a song and even getting compliment for his voice from the cop.

Television journalist Awdhesh Kumar Mishra took to Twitter and shared the video of the incident. He also captioned the video with – “Information was received on social media that police caught Kanhaiya Kumar while drinking alcohol in Buxar #Bihar and put him in lockup. Everyone is going crazy because of the melodious sound that came out of him”.

The Facts of the Matter

Being put behind the bars can be one of the biggest nightmares for a common, law-abiding citizen of any country. However, for a person in a drunken state, it can be just another place to make merry and be the ‘king of good times’.

Don’t believe it? Meet Kanhaiya Kumar from Bihar, who in a drunken state, sang a song called ‘Daroga ji’. Such was the melody and voice of the man, that even the cop had to say “wah” as a compliment.

Man was Roaming Streets Under Influence of Alcohol

According to reports, the incident was reported from Mufassil police station area in Bihar’s Buxar. As per reports, Kanhaiya Kumar was found roaming out and about under the influence of drugs. When the cops found him, they put him behind the bars for being in a public place under the influence of alcohol.

While being put behind the bar can be a sobering experience, literally and figuratively, Kanhaiya decided to give the cops at the police station, a reason to smile. Put behind the bar, he started singing a popular Bhojpuri song, and was caught on video serenading the cops.

What Does the Video Show?

In the video gone viral, the Bihar man, reportedly Kanhaiya Kumar, can be heard singing popular Bhojpuri song ‘Daroga ji’, originally sung by Pawan Singh. Kumar’s voice is quite melodious, and continues to sing the song, which is actually about a cop. He vibes to his own voice, and the officials of the police station record him in the act. “Wah, wah”, a cop can be heard saying in the background.

One netizen wrote, “Wow melodious voice It is absolutely not justified for such a rich talent to be wasted in such a boundary wall. Saw somewhere that he is involved in the crime of alcohol. The rules should not be so harsh that the poor man’s career ends. Sad”

Meanwhile, another netizen made another witty comment and wrote, “After Nirhua, Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari, this young man should also be given ticket from BJP.”
