Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson has crashed the box office. On 9th July, it released in the United States and in overseas markets. As expected, a huge start and a consistent run have been witnessed, and now, in just a 6-day theatrical business, the film has hit the $100 million mark in the domestic market.

4th Film to Cross $100 Million, Amid Pandemic

Black Widow has become the 4th film of the pandemic era to cross $100 million in the United States. The first was A Quiet Place 2, after which Godzilla vs. Kong managed to hit the mark towards its exhaustion. F9 did it in a quick time and now, Scarlett Johansson’s amazing film has done it in the first 6 days.

Up-coming Target of the Movie

The next target for the film would be to become the highest-grossing release in the US of the pandemic era. A Quiet Place 2 is leading the race with $152.32 million. F9 is at 2nd with $146 million. Black Widow is at the 3rd with $100.73 million.

Godzilla vs. Kong is at the 4th with $100.56 million. Globally, the film stands at $219.77 million with $119.03 million coming from overseas.

Brief Storyline of The Movie

Directed by Cate Shortland and written by Eric Pearson, the film brings back Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff, the former Russian spy who defected to the American side with S.H.I.E.L.D and later became an Avenger and saves the world from enemies.

The movie has her facing straight her past and reuniting with friends and family that she left behind in addition to enemies that she has yet to fight. Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz also can be seen starring in Black Widow.

Black Widow has received positive reviews. It has scored 80% on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. The critic reads that, “Black Widow’s deeper themes are drowned out in all the action, but it remains a solidly entertaining standalone adventure that’s rounded out by a stellar supporting cast.”

Kangana Ranaut Goes to Watch Black Video in Budapest

Many European and western countries have opened up cinema halls for moviegoers. Expressing her excitement on stepping into a movie hall, Kangana wrote-

“After two long years back to theatres for #blackwidow Thanks to my producers for planning this outing for us.”

Kangana Ranaut, who is shooting for her upcoming actioner Dhaakad in Budapest went back to the cinemas after a long time as the actor got a chance to watch Black Widow in a theatre.

Soon To Be Released In India

The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, the Scarlett Johansson-led Black Widow, is “coming soon” on Disney+ Hotstar in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The release date is not available yet. The film will be available to watch free of cost to the subscribers.

Marvel India’s official social media accounts announced the news. Accompanied by posters in all the languages, the post read that, “More than a spy. More than an Avenger. It’s time to tell her story. Marvel Studios’ @theblackwidow is coming soon in English on @DisneyplusHSP! And in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on @DisneyplusHSVIP! #BlackWidow.”

In most of the world, the film is already running in theatres and in a handful of countries also on Disney+ Hotstar’s Premier Access service, the streamer’s PVOD service. In the US, it costs 30 dollars to buy the movie.
