In another incident of gross-medical negligence, a Brazil-based doctor allegedly jumped on top of a pregnant woman, and ripped her baby’s head off, all in the presence of the baby’s horrified and traumatized father. The incident took place in Belo Horizonte in Brazil, and occurred earlier on May 1. The monster doctor in question has been not been named, and is under investigation
The family’s nightmare unfolded at the Hospital das Clinicas da UFMG, in the Santa Efigenia neighbourhood. The baby’s mother, Ranielly Coelho Santos, 33, was admitted to the hospital on April 24th, 28 weeks into her pregnancy, and labour was induced a week later.
The family claims the baby was alive and well as she began to emerge into the world. The father, who was watching the procedure, saw his daughter blinking and moving her mouth.
However, the obstetrician, whose name has been withheld, allegedly put pressure on the mother’s belly and, at the same time, tried to remove the baby’s body quickly, and “ripped off the child’s head”, according to the horrified dad.
The hospital reportedly declined to comment to local media, and the result of the autopsy has not been made public. The police investigation is ongoing, and the baby’s body is set to be released to the family today so that it may be buried.

Father’s Joy Turns Into Horror

Hospital Tries to Silence Parents
The baby’s mother, Ranielly Coelho Santos, filed a complaint with the police two days later, alleging that the hospital tried to pressure them into signing documents that would hide the matter. The family refused to sign the paperwork and later filed a complaint with the police. The hospital declined to comment to local media, and the result of the autopsy has not been made public. The police investigation is ongoing.

“Treated like animal..”: Grieving Mother
The family’s trauma is palpable, and the incident has shocked the nation as a whole.
“I was treated like an animal,” the grieving mother Santos told Brazilian news outlet R7. “By the time they pulled her out, she blinked, she was moving,” he said. “Her little heart, before leaving, was beating.”
he father recounted the horrific incident, saying, “the doctors were pulling Emanuelly’s head and instructed Santos to push. But she had no more strength.”
