A recent incident has shocked Patna, the capital city of Bihar, where a class 9 girl was shot by a man in broad daylight. The incident took place on Wednesday in the Indrapuri locality of Patna’s Sipara. The incident has been caught on camera and the footage has surfaced online.
The 17-year-old girl is undergoing treatment in a private hospital where she is said to be in critical condition. The man has been identified. However, he has not been arrested yet.
Facts of the Matter
The victim is the daughter of a vegetable vendor. On 17 August, when she was returning from her coaching at around 7:30 pm, she was shot in the neck by a man. The man immediately escaped from the scene.

Incident Caught on Camera
The crime has been captured on CCTV camera. In the footage, the man can be seen waiting for the girl. He is wearing a mask and cap and carrying a bag. After a while, the girl appears in a pink dress. She walks through him without looking at him. However, as soon as she passes, the man pulls out a gun from his bag and shoots the girl in the neck. The girl collapses immediately while the man absconds from the scene.
The entire incident took place next to a busy road in broad daylight. Some pedestrians and two-wheeler riders can be seen in the video. By the time, the passers by realised what happened, the man had escaped the scene.

Police Suspects Love Affair
Police suspect it to be a love affair fallout. The girl is said to have rejected the man’s proposal. However, the actual can only be ascertained after recording the victim’s statement.
The man has been identified. However, he has not been arrested yet.
The Victim in Critical Condition
The girl has been admitted to a private hospital where she is under treatment. She has got severe injuries to her neck. The hospital administration has informed that she is in a critical condition and has been put on a ventilator.
