Gruesome updates have surfaced the Delhi accident case, where it is being reported that the accident victim and her friend had booked an OYO room where they had a fall out. It is also being reported that the victim was accompanied by a female friend on her scooter when she met with the accident, and the female friend fled from the scene when the accident took place.

The new updates surface after a 23-year-old Delhi-based woman was dragged by a car for several kilometers and was later found dead. Shockingly enough, the woman’s clothes were completely torn when she was found dead, prompting the authorities to confirm whether or not the woman was a victim of a sexual assault as well.

Earlier on Tuesday, news agency ANI quoted an OYO hotel manager who confirmed that the victim had an argument with her friend before she left the hotel and met with the accident. “They went downstairs and started fighting, after which both of them went on a scooty,” news agency ANI quoted him saying.

A Dainik Bhaskar report quoted the manager mentioning that there were some boys also present when the quarrel happened. Reportedly, the woman was also accompanied by a girl who fled the scene when accident took place.

The Facts of the Matter

New murky updates are emerging in the Delhi Sultanpuri accident where 20-year-old Anjali was killed in an accident. Anjali’s body was reportedly dragged for several kilometers on the road on the wee hours of January 1, and her naked and lifeless body was found by witnesses. While initial investigation revealed the matter to be of an accident, new evidences may be looked at some foul play involved.

OYO Manager Gives Shocking Details

According to the new reports, the victim and a female friend of hers, had checked into an OYO room hours before the accident. As per the hotel’s manager, the victim and her friend had a fall out and were arguing before they left the hotel. Further, the manager also said that some boys were also present with the two women before leaving.

“They went downstairs and started fighting, after which both of them went on a scooty”, the OYO hotel manager said.

As per a Dainik Bhaskar report, the boys in question had booked a separate room in the same hotel. The hotel staff told police that sounds of fighting was coming from the room and the two girls were heard abusing each other, because of which, they were asked to leave.

Victim Accompanied by Friend Who Fled

During investigation, the Delhi Police saw CCTV footage of the victim leaving the hotel with a female friend. The girl also sustained minor injuries and fled from the scene, out of fear of further scrutiny. Meanwhile, the victim fell in front of a car after colliding and was dragged for several kilometers.

The Investigation So Far

Earlier on Monday, the Delhi police arrested five men who were in the Baleno car when the accident took place. The accused after the arrest told the police that although they sensed something coming underneath the car, the music in the car was too loud for them to make any note of something gone awry.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has been criticised for the lack of checkpoints and nakabandi that could have prevented the accident. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah sought a detailed report from the Delhi Police. Delhi Police Arvind Kejriwal also issued a notice to the Delhi Police, seeking a “fair” investigation “without political pressure”.
