The Investigation So Far
Earlier on Monday, the Delhi police arrested five men who were in the Baleno car when the accident took place. The accused after the arrest told the police that although they sensed something coming underneath the car, the music in the car was too loud for them to make any note of something gone awry.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has been criticised for the lack of checkpoints and nakabandi that could have prevented the accident. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah sought a detailed report from the Delhi Police. Delhi Police Arvind Kejriwal also issued a notice to the Delhi Police, seeking a “fair” investigation “without political pressure”.
