On Sunday morning, Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja hospital, due to difficulty in breathing. NCP president Sharad Pawar visited the actor to ensure his health condition. Dilip Kumar’s wife and veteran actress Saira Banu confirmed the news.
Why is Dilip Kumar admitted to hospital?
Dilip Kumar complained of breathlessness and was admitted to Hinduja hospital in a hurry. Saira Banu told in a recent interview that-
“After experiencing breathlessness, we took Dilip sahab to the hospital in Khar Road at 8.30 am. Doctors are treating him and we have got a few tests done, we are awaiting reports. Please pray for him that he feels better and we can take him home quickly.”
Soon after the confirmation, a tweet was posted through his official Twitter handle. The tweet read, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. The doctors who are treating the actor
The actor is currently under the surveillance of a team of senior doctors, Cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale and Pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar, at the Hinduja hospital. They are closely observing his condition. The 98-year-old thespian was admitted to the hospital last month as well for his regular health checkup and was discharged after two days.

Sharad Pawar visited the veteran actor Dilip Kumar who is currently admitted at Hinduja hospital. In a recent tweet the well-known Politician Sharad Pawar said that, “Visited legendary actor Shri Dilip Kumarji at Khar Hinduja Hospital today to check on his health and treatment, with the veteren actress Smt. Saira Banu. I wish Shri Dilip Kumarji a speedy recovery and good health!”

About the veteran couple amid the pandemic
Before the imposition of the nationwide-lockdown in March 2020, actor Dilip Kumar informed that he and his wife, actress Saira Banu, were under “complete isolation and quarantine” as a safety measure against coronavirus.
He also requested his fans to “stay indoors as much as possible.” Saira Banu also shared an update on the legendary actor’s health in the form of an audio-visual message, in which she said-
“Sab kuch theek hai, allah ka shukr hai, aap sab ki dua hai (which further translates to- We have your love. We have your affection and we are so grateful to you and so grateful to God. God is kind, thank you).”
