A disturbing video has surfaced on social media, showing a naked woman roaming the streets and ringing bells in UP’s Rampur city. The incident was reported from Milak village in Rampur and occurred earlier on January 29, only to catch the media’s attention after the purported video of the incident went viral on social media. Following the incident, the woman was identified by the cops and brought to her family.
The part eerie and part concerning video of the incident shows a woman, appearing to be completely naked, ringing the door bells of multiple houses in a locality, moving on as she is left unattended. After being left unattended at one particular door, the woman stands still for a few seconds, turning her face to the road, and then walking away slowly.
After the creepy video of the naked woman roaming the streets of Rampur surfaced on social media, the local police took cognizance of the matter and said that they have registered the case and will increase the patrolling in the area. The police also issued an advisory, asking people to not spread misinformation, and come forth if they have more details about the woman and her family.
The woman has since been identified and found to be mentally ill, undergoing treatment in Bareilly for the last five years.
The Facts of the Matter
In the dead of night, a chilling sound echos through the quiet neighborhood. It’s the persistent ring of doorbells, coming from house to house. A resident peep through their windows, only to see a shadowy figure of a woman appearing to be naked, standing on their porch.
Recently, locals living in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur were gripped in fright of the night, fearing that they would hear a persistent ringing of their doorbell thanks to a naked woman who was found roaming the streets. CCTV installed in the area reaffirmed their fear, as it showed the highly unusual and disturbing ordeal.

What Does the Video Show?
In the mysterious purported video making rounds of social media, a woman, appearing to be completely naked, is seen standing outside the door of a house in a small locality in UP’s Rampur. The woman gets closer to the doorbell, and rings it multiple times. When left unattended, the woman backs off, and turns ever so slowly towards the road, and moves on from the place.

Local Files Complaint
According to reports, the incident took place earlier on January 29. Following the incident, a local resident Seema Devi filed a complaint. A TOI report quoted the local’s complaint which read – “The woman is around 25 years old and was nude. Five minutes after she left my house, two bikers followed her. A few minutes later, a police patrolling van also followed them.”
Meanwhile, Circle Officer Ravi Khokher said that the woman had not been identified and the cops have increased the patrolling in the area. The local police also issued an advisory against spreading misinformation regarding the woman and her whereabouts, and asked people to come forth if they find the woman.

Woman Identified, is “Mentally Ill”
Meanwhile, after the video of the naked woman ringing doorbells of houses in UP’s Rampur went viral, the police issued a statement, confirming the woman’s identity. Without divulging the woman’s name, the police said that they got in touch with the woman’s parents, and further mentioned that she had been mentally ill, and was undergoing treatment in Bareilly.
