In a recent development in the Nisha Rawal-Karan Mehra spat, a domestic violence case has been filed against Yeh Rishta actor Karan Mehra and 3 others by the Mumbai Police. The official case lodged against Mehra is the most recent flashpoint in the Rawal VS Mehra case.
Earlier, the couple was in the news for publicly throwing allegations against each other. While Mehra alleged that his wife was a bipolar with anger issues, Rawal alleged that her husband was having an extramarital affair.

Once again, Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra are creating news, and this time again, it’s for all the wrong reasons. Earlier, the couple were seen throwing allegations at each other and had taken social media by storm, dividing fans of the couples into two different camps.
This time however, the news is much more significant. As per reports, a domestic abuse case has been finally filed against Karan Mehra by the Mumbai Police. The case was filed on Friday, June 25, by the police on the complaint of Mehra’s estranged wife Nisha at the Goregaon Police Station.

While Karan was already in the spotlight for being involved in the domestic abuse case, the official case also names Mehra’s family members as accused. Along with Karan, his relatives – Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra – have all been charged with assault and willful harassment.
Further, reports also claim that Karan, who plays the ideal and perfect life partner in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai show, has been accused by Nisha of withdrawing Rs. 1 crore from her bank account. At the time of writing this article, no involved persons have been reported being arrested and the investigation is underway.

Earlier on May 31, Karan Mehra was at the front and center of media frenzy as he was arrested by the Mumbai police after his estranged wife Nisha registered an assault complaint against him. Nisha had alleged that Karan had hit her and pushed her against the wall. Karan however alleged that it was Nisha who ‘smashed her head on the wall’ herself after their conversation go heated up. After the preliminary process, Karan was released on bail.

“Actually, Nisha has mood swings and violent anger streak. She would throw stuff and hit herself and others. Five-six years ago, she was diagnosed as bipolar. People, including our friends and relatives have seen her behaviour in public and I couldn’t take it anymore,”
-Karan had alleged in an interview after his release on bail.

The curious case of CCTV cameras

After the ugly spat that allegedly turned violent, Mehra alleged that his estranged wife had switched off the cameras of their 4BHK home. According to Mehra, the camera in the couple’s living room was installed in such a way that had it been running, it would have captured the moment where Nisha herself hit her head against the wall.
Meanwhile, Nisha admitted to switching off the cameras and claimed that whenever the cameras were on, his husband would be on his best behaviour, and she would not have been able to catch him.
