The story of a man fighting cancer and yet appearing for an interview during his chemo session has gone viral with a happy ending at the end of it all. Earlier this week, Mr. Arsh Nandan prasad, shared a picture of him on a hospital bed with a laptop in front of him.

He shared his struggles of landing a job and claimed how the even while giving his best in interviews, he wasn’t getting selected because of his “rough patch”. “I don’t need your sympathy!! I’m here to prove myself”, Mr. Nandan wrote in his LinkedIn post that has since gone viral with netizens pouring their hearts out in the comments section, appreciating the cancer-battling man.

“When you give your best in the interviews but are not selected for the mere fact that you are going through a rough patch in life certainly shows how generous these companies are,” Mr. Nandan wrote, and added, “As the recruiters come to know that I’m fighting Cancer, I see the change in their expressions.”

His fighting spirit was enough to land him a job. Nilesh Satpute, the CEO of Applied Cloud Computing commented on his post and told him that he can join the company.

The Facts of the Matter

With rampant unemployment, the unemployed workforce of the India is proactively trying to find a way for themselves. Earlier we reported about ‘Chaiwali’, an Economics graduate from Bihar who opened her own tea stall after not getting job.

Meanwhile, there are those who despite whatever life is throwing at them, are still in the boxing ring, blocking punches, and landing some of their own. Earlier this week, a similar story of a man battling cancer and trying to give interview during his chemo sessions went viral.

Arsh Nandan Shares his Heart Touching Story

Mr. Arsh Nandan Prasad took to LinkedIn, and shared a picture of him sitting on his hospital bed with his laptop in front of him as he gives a virtual interview. Sharing his struggle to professionals on LinkedIn, Mr. Nandan wrote – “When you give your best in the interviews but are not selected for the mere fact that you are going through a rough patch in life  certainly shows how generous these companies are”.

He claimed how he can see change in expressions on the faces of recruiters when he tells them he his battling cancer. “As the recruiters come to know that I’m fighting Cancer, I see the change in their expressions.”

“I don’t need your sympathy!! I’m here to prove myself,” the high-on spirits cancer-battling man wrote on LinkedIn. As per his credentials, Mr. Arsh Nandan is a business and marketing analyst.

Mr. Arsh Nandan’s story struck a chord with many professionals on LinkedIn who applauded his grit and determination during such a challenging phase of his life. Some shared their own ordeal of battling through a rough patch in their life while others remained in awe of him.

Maharashtra-based CEO Also Offers Job without Interview

Such was the traction Mr. Arsh received that a Maharashtra-based CEO went as far as giving him a job. “Hi Arsh! You are a warrior. Please stop attending interviews during your treatment. I checked your credentials they are very strong. You can join us whenever you want. There will be no interview,” Nilesh Satpute, CEO of Applied Cloud Computing commented.
