On a late Friday Night in Indore, on AB Road a drink and drive incident took place. The car of drunken girls after having three overturns hit Swiggy’s delivery boy and passed over its end. The delivery boy died in this accident.
The Incident and the Accuser
The girl driving the car had drunk so much alcohol that she could not even stand properly. The same was the case with her three friends. The incident took place in Rajendra Nagar police station area. After the accident, crowd surrounded the four girls. The car was badly damaged and was taken under custody.
Rajendra Nagar TI Amrita Solanki said that the delivery boy has been identified as Devi Lal (39). The car was going from Vijayanagar towards Treasure Town after attending a party. The car hit the delivery boy going on a bike near Rajendra Nagar Bridge.
According to the police, the car was driven by Gargi Maheshwari, a resident of MIG. The vehicle is registered in the name of Nitin Maheshwari. Three of her friends were also in the car with her. All four were coming through some party.

The Girls Were Intoxicated With Alcohol
After the accident, the family members of the girls reached the spot, people also stopped their car. People started talking about taking the girls to the police station. The police took the girls to the police station. Initially, the police said that the three girls were minors. Later was cleared that they are college students and are adults.
The Car Skid and Overturned Three Times
Abhishek Singh, who is a key eyewitness and worked at the petrol pump, told that the speed of the girls’ car was so fast that after taking three turns, it fell on the delivery boy and ran over his head. The girls were so drunk that they could not even get out of the car. According to TI, three girls live in Treasure Township. Gargi was going to drop them after partying in Vijayanagar.

Drunken Woman from Pune Creates Chaos in Between the Traffic
A young woman, who is suspected to either be drunk or is under the influence of some intoxicant, created Chaos on Tilak Road area of Pune city on Tuesday night by lying down on the road and blocking the traffic. A video of the same has gone viral on social media platforms.

What the Police Had to Say
Officials from Swargate police station said the incident took place around 10.30 pm at Hirabaug Chowk. Senior Inspector Balasaheb Kopnar, in-charge of Swargate police station, said-
“As per our information, the woman came to Hirabaug from Khadak area. The video shows her lying down on the road for a few minutes. After police received the call, our teams went to the spot but she managed to flee.”
A senior officer from Pune City Police said that they are looking for the woman. While it seems from the video that the woman was under the influence of something, possibly alcohol, they can’t say that for sure since no medical test has been done.
The officer added-
“We have also been told that people were clapping when the woman was lying on the road. These days, nothing can escape the camera and things immediately go viral on social media platforms. But that does not mean we can take action just based on a video. We will examine the matter as per the rules and take action accordingly.”
