In the early hours of Saturday morning, a massive fire broke out in Baiganwadi, Adarsh Nagar, Mumbai, engulfing over 15 houses and commercial units. The devastating blaze, which erupted around 4 a.m., left residents scrambling for safety as thick plumes of black smoke billowed into the sky.

Homes and Shops Damaged, No Injuries Reported

According to reports, the fire started in a chawl (residential building) in Govandi and quickly spread to nearby structures. Despite the intensity of the flames, no injuries have been reported so far, thanks to the quick response of local residents and fire officials. Visuals from the scene showed people using buckets of water in an attempt to douse the raging inferno.

Fire Brigade and Locals Work Together to Control the Blaze

The Mumbai Fire Brigade received a call alerting them about the blaze at around 3:55 a.m. and promptly dispatched nine fire tenders to the location. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control, while Mumbai Police officials were also present to assist in evacuation efforts and maintain law and order.
