In a new twist, on Tuesday, the disputed CD case involving former Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, the Ex- Karnataka minister, claimed innocence in the CD case that has been taking rounds. He says it’s a conspiracy against him.

Ramesh Jarkiholi interacted with the media persons and told them that he was innocent and that the alleged CD was “100% fake”. In his 18-minute-long conversation with media persons, Jarkiholi’s youngest brothers claimed that the entire case was a conspiracy against him.

He also claimed that he already knew about the CD and had also informed the high command.

“There is no truth in this CD. It is a conspiracy and I am innocent. In fact I came to know about the CD four months ago and I told my brother Balachandra that I had done nothing wrong and it was not about me. I also got a call from the high command and was asked to seek legal help. But I said I will fight it,”claimed the Belagavi MLA.

Jarkiholi said that the whole incident hurt his wife and children the most. He also said he would require the honor of his extended family and supporters in Belagavi.

“I am told that this whole conspiracy was settled for Rs 5 crores. Also, two flats were given in a foreign country … I do not know much but whoever drove me out in this situation, I will not let him go till I send him to jail. ‘

Claiming innocence, Jarkiholi told the media that the alleged CD was the exact opposite of his character. He said that he is a religious person who used to come to temples and was actually in a temple, when the so-called CD was leaked to the media.

“I was in the temple that evening. I came back and thought about the consequences. My resignation was my own decision. I waited one night and resigned at about 9:30 am the next day. CM did not ask me, ” he said.

Jarkiholi said that the entire conspiracy was hatched around Orion Mall and Yeshwantpur areas of Bengaluru.

The Jarkiholi Brothers have approached the CM and Home Minister Basavaj Bommai and asked the government to hand over the matter to the CID at the earliest.
