On Sunday, ex-Tata Sons chief Cyrus Mistry died in a road accident in Mumbai, following which netizens mourned on Twitter, expressing shock over the news of his passing. Mr. Mistry was 54. According to reports, the veteran industrialist was on his way from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his speeding Mercedes hit a divider at Palghar.
The car was occupied by four persons, including Mr Mistry. While two occupants died on the spot, two were rushed to the hospital. The other deceased person was identified as Jahangir Binshah Pandole. Injured individuals were identified as Anahita Pandole, a doctor at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, and Darius Pandole, MD of JM Financial Private Equity.
The demise of Cyrus Mistry comes just three months after the patriarch of the Mistry family, Pallonji Mistry, passed away earlier in June at the age of 93.
Following the demise of Cyrus Mistry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote, “The untimely demise of Shri Cyrus Mistry is shocking. He was a promising business leader who believed in India’s economic prowess. His passing away is a big loss to the world of commerce and industry. Condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.”

On Sunday, prominent industrialist, and former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry was killed in a road accident. The 54-year-old industrialist was in a Mercedes car which according to reports hit a divider in Palghar district.
As per reports, Cyrus Mistry was on his way from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in the car. He was accompanied by four persons, two of whom were injured and rushed to hospital in critical condition. Along with Mistry, Jahangir Binshah Pandole died in the car accident.
2 Occupants Injured, Taken to Hospital
Meanwhile, other occupants, Darius Pandole, the MD of JM Financial Private Equity, and Dr Anahita Pandole, a top doctor at Breach Candy Hospital, were injured.
According to reports, the car was being driven by Anahita Pandole. “Anahita Pandole was driving the car. Prima Facie, it appears a case of overspeeding and she lost control over the wheel. We are investigating the matter,” Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil was quoted saying.
Double Shock for Mistry Family, Pallonji Mistry Passed Away in June
According to reports, Cyrus Mistry is survived by two sons and his wife. Reportedly, his immediate family were abroad for a function. This is double-blow for the Mistry family, as earlier this year, the patriarch of the family Mr Pallonji Mistry passed away due to natural reasons at the age of 93.
