The daughter of a Kashmiri pandit openly challenged the militants after her father’s murder. “Face me if you have courage”, the aggrieved and courageous woman proclaimed in the state of grief and anger. The infuriated woman called out the apparent cowardice of terrorists who kill innocent civilians.

For the unversed, a Kashmiri Pandit businessman, a local street vendor and a taxi stand owner were shot dead by terrorists in J&K on Tuesday, October 4. the Kashmiri Pandit was Mr. Makhan Lal Bindroo, the street vendor was Mr. Virendar Paswan and the taxi stand owner was Mr. Mohammad Shafi.

As the most disputed U/T of India, Kashmir not only endures conflicts from Pakistan, but also from militants that reside and train in the valley.

Recently, the peaceful valley was once again rocked by a terrorist attack where 3 civilians were shot down.

A couple of days after Makhan Lal Bindroo was shot dead by alleged militants in Srinagar, her daughter Shraddha Bindroo openly challenged the assailants of her father. The woman claimed that the militants had no courage who shoot people on their backs. Further, she proclaimed that if the militants have enough courage, they should have a debate with her.

Speaking to the media, a charged-up Shraddha said that her father will never die and will continue to live in spirit.

“I’m an associate professor. I started from zero, my father started from a bicycle, my brother is a dermatologist, my mother sits on a shop, that is what Makhan Lal Bindroo made us. Kashmiri Pandit will never die. I being a Hindu, have read Quran. Quran says that this body is a outfit that will change. But a human’s spirit it will not go anywhere, “she said.

“Makhan Lal Bindroo will be alive in spirit,” Shraddha Bindroo further added.

“Mr. Who-shot-my-father-when-he-was-working, if you have the guts and courage, face me, have a debate. Have a face-to-face debate with us, then we’ll see what you are,” said Shraddha. “When you’ll not be able to utter a single word, then you’ll know,” she said.

Calling out the nature of militants who shoot innocent people dead, Shraddha further said, “You can only pelt stones and shoot people from behind. You have only killed a man. But the man you killed gave birth to me. I’m my father’s daughter,” Shraddha said in her fury.

What Were the Recent J&K Attacks All About?

Earlier on Tuesday, alleged militants gunned down Makhan Lal Bindroo and two others. Mr. Bindroo was shot right outside his shop in Srinagar’s Iqbal Park. Reportedly, the 65-year-old Hindu businessman was owner of Bindroo Chemists, a chain of pharmacy stores. Mr. Bindroo and his family had stayed in Srinagar during the 1990s Kashmiri Pandit exodus.

Within an hour of the attack, militants shot dead a street vendor who sold golgappas in the city. The victim was a resident of Bihar and was identified as Virendra Paswan.

On the same day, militants shot dead a taxi stand owner named Mohammad Shafi in Shahgund village.
