Ahead of the Filmfare Awards 2023, Vivek Agnihotri directed The Kashmir Files has received as many as 6 nominations, including the Best Director and Best Film nods. Meanwhile, reports have also stated that this year’s Filmfare Awards will be hosted by Salman Khan, who is the talk of the B-Town thanks to his recently released film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Ahead in the race with reference to the number of nominations is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Alia Bhatt starrer landed as many as 10 nominations, which not only includes the Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor, but Also for Best Music and Best Debut. For the unversed, the film showed the acting range of Shantanu Maheshwari for the first time on the big screen.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra, which was embroiled in controversies and debates over its public response, also landed several nominations. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer earned nominations for Best Director, Best Supporting Role, Best VFX, Best Music, among others.
The upcoming award ceremony will be hosted by none other than the renowned superstar Salman Khan, who will share the stage with co-hosts Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul. The star-studded event will also feature dazzling performances by some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including actors Vicky Kaushal, Govinda, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez.
