In a strange news, a man reportedly called the cops to test his meth and ensure its authenticity after he failed to experience its effects. The man told the police that he was an experienced drug use and added that he got the drug from another person from a bar. He also told the cops that he suspected that he was duped and that he was sold bath salts.

According to reports, the man told the police officials that he wanted the meth to be tested because he didn’t want other people to be duped the same way he was. When the police asked him to produce the name and contact information of the person who sold him the drugs, the experienced drug user failed to do so.

The incident was reported from Spring Hill, Florida and the person who called the cops was identified as 41-year-old Thomas Eugene Colucci.

For the unversed, Florida reports some bizarre and strange news every now and then. Many experts claim that a diverse population and easy access to public reports is the reason why “Florida Man” reports are widely distributed online.

The Facts of the Matter

Its only three months into 2022 and we have already had our fair share of jaw-dropping, baffling and rib-tickling news for the year. However, stories reported from Florida are one notch above and beyond such reports.

Earlier this year, we reported how a Florida man, on getting caught for speeding, blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for breaking the law. Earlier last year, we reported how a woman in Florida spiked her boyfriend’s lemonade with drugs because “he just won’t shut up”.

Colucci Didn’t Experience “Expected Sensation”, Called 9-1-1

Following Thomas’s 911 call, deputies met him and were told how Thomas purchased meth from a man he met at a bar. An experienced drug user, Thomas quickly figured that he was duped and was sold bath salts.

A Newsweek report quoted a police official saying, “Evidently, the substance Colucci had recently purchased did not provide the expected sensation, hence the call to 9-1-1. Colucci told deputies he wanted his methamphetamine tested, as he did not want other people to purchase ‘fake’ methamphetamine from the individual who sold it to him.”

Florida Man Arrested Immediately

As per Thomas’s request, a test was performed on the sample, and soon it was revealed that the crystal-like substance sold to Thomas was actually methamphetamine. Thomas was immediately arrested for possession of drugs and his bond was set to a hefty $7,000.

Following the incident the sheriff’s department issued a hilarious statement which said that if a person has any “doubts about the authenticity of any illegal narcotics you have on-hand or have obtained from another person, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to provide this service, FREE of charge.”
