On Friday, July 14, at 2.35 p.m. IST, a lucky passenger on board an Indigo flight from Chennai to Dhaka witnessed the launch of the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO’s) third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3, from a window seat. The heavy-lift LVM3-M4 rocket took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, and was greeted with cheers and applause from the thousands of spectators present. The captain of the plane announced the historic event and invited passengers to observe the launch from the windows, where one passenger managed to capture the momentous launch on video.
