The Indian contingent was the biggest one compared to all the contingents sent to any Olympics before. And it was India’s best medal haul with a total 7 medals clinched. India won 1 gold medal thanks to Neeraj Chopra’s heroics, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.

The athletes created a new bench mark and as a well-deserved outcome, are receiving a cash reward from state governments, and certain rewards from private organizations.

Let’s start the proceedings with our golden boy Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj brought India’s second ever independent gold medal and first ever gold medal in javelin throw.
