In an incident worthy of being called ‘Gangs of Madhya Pradesh’, armed goons were seen firing incessantly over alleged land dispute. The law-and-order situation was witnessed in Morena, and Gwalior, cities known for their gun culture and violent incidents over trivial matters. In multiple videos shared on Twitter, several goons are seen taking to streets in broad daylight, and firing rapidly as locals scramble and take cover to save their lives.
As per an Amar Ujala report, in Morena city, a residential colony named Dwarika Dham Colony is being constructed. The land over which the colony is being constructed is situated near the Ambah Bypass Road and has been under a dispute between Harish Parmar and Sachin Sikarwar, Amar Ujala reported.
Over the land dispute, the two sides and the men associated with the two men took to the streets in broad daylight and fired at each other. Thankfully, no casualties were reported in the matter and the incident is being looked as the two signs displaying domination, with all guns blazing, literally.
After the firing subsided, the police were informed. Civil line station in charge Praveen Singh inspected the scene and recovered at least 15-20 rounds from the spot.
In another CCTV footage from Gwalior, half a dozen men are seen firing at a house over an alleged money related dispute.
The Facts of the Matter
Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur was widely lauded for bringing a gritty and realistic portrayal of Bihar’s politics, its goons and its gun culture.
Now, Madhya Pradesh is giving states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh a tough fight over the gun culture where fearless goons are raising hell in broad daylight. If the recent CCTV footage is taken seriously; it appears that the state has as many law and order issues as other states like UP, Bihar and Jharkhand.
In three separate incidents reported from Gwalior, Morena and Bhind, men armed with different guns are seen firing in broad daylight over different disputes. According to reports, the CCTV footage of the incidents surfaced on the same day.

In a video from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, multiple gun men with rifles are seen firing at another group of armed men. The Morena incident appears to be straight out of a 90s gang-war film.
Meanwhile, in a video which surfaced from Morena, a group of men, armed with rifles can be seen giving a chase to someone. Soon, it becomes clear that the group of men were chasing another group who are also armed to the teeth and soon, both sides attack each other with rifles in broad daylight.
