Dramatic footage has surfaced showing sparks flying out on road as a car dragged a motorcycle for at least one kilometre. The chase video of the high-octane drama showed a motorcyclist chasing an SUV driver in the apparent case of road rage. The incident was reported from UP’s Ghaziabad and occurred earlier on November 3, sometime around 11 pm.

The impact of the collision of car and motorcyclist was such that the riders were on the road, and the motorcycle was dragged for a kilometer and a half by the driver of the car.

Shocking videos of the incident making rounds of social media shows sparks flying around an SUV and screeching noise emerging. Some youngsters somehow manage to get the attention of the driver by chasing him. However, the driver of the car speeds his vehicle and flees from the scene. The youngsters on the motorcycle can be heard asking him to remove the car keys and step out of the vehicle.

After video of the incident went viral, Ghaziabad police took to Twitter and shared an update. “In connection with the viral video of a bike being dragged from the car by the car driver in the police station Indirapuram area on 03.11.22, the police station Indirapuram has seized the car and arrested the driver.”

The Facts of the Matter

India is the second-largest road network in the world. At the same time, it also reports accidents due to carelessness, over speeding, or other factors, that often lead to injuries and deaths. In recent times, road rage has become one of the factors of such accidents.

One such incident of road rage was reported from Ghaziabad recently, where a car was seen dragging a motorcycle for about a kilometre. Shocking video of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing sparks flying from underneath the car as it drags a motorcycle on the road. The incident was reported from NCR’s Indirapuram.

What Does the Video Show?

The video shows motorcyclists chasing an SUV as the latter drags a motorcycle for a long distance. Sparks are flying underneath the car due to the friction caused by all the dragging and one could hear the sound of loud screeching.

Some motorcyclists manage to make the car driver slow down the car and ask him to step out of the car. The car driver’s face is seen in the video and he agrees to come out of the vehicle. However, in no time, the car driver speeds up the vehicle again, dragging the motorcycle further as other bikers try to chase him once again.

Accused Arrested

After the incident’s video went viral on social media. The Ghaziabad police took to Twitter and shared an update regarding the matter.

“In connection with the viral video of a bike being dragged from the car by the car driver in the police station Indirapuram area on 03.11.22, the police station Indirapuram has seized the car and arrested the driver,” the tweet translated from Hindi read.

Ghaziabad Police Officer Gives More Details

In a subsequent video, an officer from Ghaziabad police gave more details about the incident. As per the officer, the incident occurred on Thursday night, at around 11 pm. An SUV driver collided into a motorcyclist, and instead of stopping, the car driver continued driving the car with the motorcycle under the tyres.

The car driver was identified as Abhishek, while the motorcyclist was identified as Hawa Singh. Hawa Singh did not sustain any injuries in the matter.
