Hostels are home away from home but this Maharashtra’s Government Hostel changed the definition and way of looking at a hostel altogether. In a terrifying act that took place in Maharashtra’s Government Hostel, where Girls were made to strip and forced to dance by police in Jalgaon.
On this incident, Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, on Wednesday informed the public that Maharashtra government has formed a four-member high-level committee to investigate the incident in which girls were allegedly stripped and forced to dance by policemen in Jalgaon.
An announcement was made by the minister in the state assembly after the issue was raised by opposition members. Targeting the Maharashtra government, BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar questioned the seriousness of the State on the issue.
As per the Media reports, Certain girls belonging to a hostel in Jalgaon complained that some outsiders and policemen were allowed to enter the facility on the pretext of investigation and some girls were forced to strip and dance.
A video clip relating to the incident has also come into light.

“This is a very unfortunate and unacceptable incident. A four-member high-level committee of officials has been formed to investigate it. They have been asked to submit a report on this incident in two days. Action will be taken as per the rules. The report has been submitted.”- Deshmukh said.
Before the announcement was made by the minister, Mungantiwar said the incident was quite serious. He also said that the government is just taking note of the incident wherein a stricter action is required.
To which the Home Minister Deshmukh replied, “All information about the incident is being taken. Complete video recording and other documents are sought and statements are being recorded.”
He pressed upon the fact that once all the information is collected and compiled, strict action will be taken according to the rules.
Objecting to the above stated statement by Mr Deshmukh, Mungantiwar said that the police already have entire information and proof regarding the incident.
“If the police machinery is not going to take information after spending Rs 15,000 crore, why this government (is needed then)?”
the BJP leader said.
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis also commented upon the incident and said that there exists a video clip of the incident in question and had there been just a news report, things would have been dealt differently.
He added that a video clip of a girl who is being forced to dance after taking off her clothes is a matter of serious concern.
The Opposition leader had one thing to say that is to take immediate action in a sensitive manner, this is what they expect.
