A Gujarat-based man, who was recently fired from job, killed the owner of a factory where he was employed, the owner’s father & the owner’s uncle. Further, the accused took help from a minor boy. Both the accused have been arrested following the horrific triple-murder. The incident was reported from Gujarat’s Surat, where the accused, worked at a textile firm called Vedanta Texo.
The horrific killing was also caught on CCTV, which shows the accused committing the horrific crime, and then fleeing the scene. The video of the incident shows the accused walking into the factory in what appears to be in broad daylight, and attacking the factory owner with a sharp weapon. After attacking the owner multiple times, the accused manages to flee from the scene.
The victims in the incident were identified as factory owner Kalpesh Dholakia, his father Dhanji bhai, and uncle Ghanshyam Razodia. Both Dhanji bhai and Ghanshyam were present at the factory when the accused went on a killing spree.
As per the reports, the accused was fired after he was found sleeping during night shift. A heated argument had taken place between the owner of the factory and the accused. Preliminary investigation also indicates that the factory owner had paid the sacked employee his dues.
The Facts of the Matter
In 2021, as many as 29,272 murder cases were reported in India where 30,132 were murdered. As per the National Crime Record Bureau’s report, this was another increase when compared to 2020, when 29,272 such cases were registered. Further, ‘dispute’ was the biggest motive in murder cases, with 9,765 murder cases registered with the motive being dispute.
In one more such incident reported from Gujarat, a triple murder was reported where a dispute led to a angry and vengeful factory worker, killing the owner of the factory, his father, and his maternal uncle. The incident was reported from Surat where the accused was employed in Vedanta Taxo, a textile firm.
The shocking incident was caught on CCTV, visuals of which are making the rounds of social media.

What Does the Video Show?
The hair-raising video of the incident shows the accused barging into the factory in what appears to be broad daylight, and then attacking the victim with a sharp object. The accused attack the victim multiple times, killing him on the spot, and then fleeing the scene. The accused can also be seen accompanied by another man, who is now being reported to be juvenile.

The victims in the matter have been identified as factory owner Kalpesh Dholakia (36), his father Dhanji Dholakiya (61) and maternal uncle Ghanshyam Rajodiya (48).

Accused Found Sleeping, Terminated
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Zone 5) Harshad Mehta was quoted in media reports saying, “A rift between the owner of the embroidery firm and his employee led to murder of three persons…The interrogation of the accused revealed that the factory owner had terminated the services of the man 10 days ago after he was found sleeping during the night shift. A heated argument had taken place between them at that time”.

Swift Justice Demanded
Following the horrific triple-murder, industrialists and well-wishers gathered at the hospital where the victims were admitted. Further, BJP MLA Kumar Kanani sought swift justice and asked police to keep stock of the history-sheeters that have entered Surat for jobs.
Gujarat Home Minister, Harsh Sanghavi, also held a meeting with Surat police officials and took a stock of the investigation so far.
Two suspects have been detained and taken into questioning, one of who, is a juvenile.
