In the CCTV footage, a busy road can be seen and soon a girl dressed in blue can be seen being overpowered by a crazed man. Soon both the persons came in the frame of the CCTV which recorded the man launch a series of stabbing attacks on the woman as the woman can be seen being falling down on the road.
The people around, who saw the whole ordeal take place in front of them later crowded around the woman and rushed to help her. Meanwhile, some people on the periphery of the incident continued with their day, without paying a heed to the incident.

Ramya Succumbed to 6 Stab Wounds on Throat and Abdomen
The woman was later rushed to the Guntur Government Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. On primary investigation, the Guntur police found six stab wounds on the girl’s throat as well as on her abdomen. For further investigation, the police seized the murdered girl’s cell phone.
After the incident, Andhra Pradesh CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a Rs. 10 lakh ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased girl. He further directed the officials to take care of the victim’s family and carry the probe carefully.
Opposition Condemns AP Govt
As it happens in the country more often than it doesn’t, the Andhra opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) condemned the murder of the girl, who was later identified by N. Ramya. The TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh demanded that the CM Reddy led government must take immediate steps to arrest the assailant.
“It is shocking that the ghastly murder took place just around the same time when Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was speaking eloquently on the Disha Act and women safety in his Independence Day speech. It is clear now that the much-trumpeted Disha Act of the YSRCP government was of no use at all in ensuring security to women,” said Nara Lokesh, as quoted by reports.
Nara Lokesh also added, “Because of the failure of the Disha Act and the Government, the life of yet another aspiring girl came to an abrupt end now.”
“How to Punish Such Psychopaths?” Andhra Home Minister
Condemning the law-and-order situation in the state, the TDP also alleged that in the past 2 and a half years, not a single female victim of murder and heinous acts has received justice of the YSR Congress Party rule.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister M. Sucharita was quoted saying, “Despite having tough laws… how to punish such psychopaths? Only capital punishment seems appropriate for such monsters.
