In a shocking incident, a Gurugram-based telecaller was arrested for posing as a PMO official’s relative to get a free entry in a bar! The incident was reported from Sector-65 in Gurugram and occurred on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The accused in the matter has been identified as Satyaprakash Arya alias Siddharth
It takes guts, determination, and a total lack of common sense to pretend to be a relative of a PMO official to get free entry into a bar. But, alas, it seems like the accused lacked all three. The drama unfolded on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday when the accused made a phone call to the SHO and asked him to get him free entry into the bar. When the SHO refused, the caller started pressuring him on the name of the senior police officers and threatened him with dire consequences.
During the police investigation, it was revealed that the accused worked as a telecaller in a private company located in Sector-18, Gurugram. He had earlier gone to the bar with his accomplices and had committed the crime to enter the bar without paying any entry fee.
To conceal his identity, the accused had introduced himself with a fake name, and the officer appointed in PMO, whose name he had taken, was also found to be fake.
The Facts of the Matter
In a bold move that would make even the most daring Hollywood villains blush, a man in Gurugram was arrested for masquerading as a relative of a high-ranking PMO official.
But this wasn’t some elaborate scheme to overthrow the government or steal top-secret files; no, this man had a more modest goal in mind – getting free entry into a bar. Who needs an evil lair when you can enjoy a pint without paying for it?
Tellecaller Plays Prank on Cops
A 30-year-old man by the name of Satyaprakash Arya decided to play a prank on the police by calling a Station House Officer (SHO) in the early hours of Monday and claiming to be a relative of a Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) adviser.
He demanded free entry and services at an ahata in Gurgaon but was promptly denied by the SHO. This didn’t go down well with Arya, who resorted to hurling abuses and threats at the officer.
Police Looks Into Man’s Records
Not one to be messed with, the police quickly traced the call to Arya, who had registered on caller ID as “different ways to contact PMO”. He was later arrested from his house in Sector 58. During interrogation, Arya admitted that he had made up the story about being related to a PMO adviser, and that the name he used to refer to this official was also fake.
