In a baffling incident reported from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a man received Rs. 3,419 crore electricity bill and was hospitalized due to shock. The incident was reported from Gwalior’s Shiv Vihar Colony and occurred at the residence of the Gupta family.
After all said and done, the Madhya Pradesh government-run power supply company claimed that the bill was of Rs 1,300 and the Rs 3,419 crore amount was generated due to “human error”.

The bill, which was handed to the Gupta family earlier on July 20, was also cross-checked at the Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (MPMKVVC) online portal. However, the online portal also showed the whopping Rs. 3,419 crore sum as the due amount for domestic consumption for the month of July.
