Man’s Plea to Modi

The man in the video is asking for help from Modi. “The police personnel have sealed our house. I ask the commissioner of Muzaffarabad to hand over the house to us. You can see my children on the street. If anything happens to me, then the commissioner and Tehsildar are responsible for it. They should unlock my home; else I will be forced to seek the Indian government’s help. I appeal to PM Modi to teach them a lesson.” Malik stated.

“I appeal to the Indian government and PM Modi to save us from these atrocities,”, “Come and rescue us,” he further said.

Video Shows Man’s Desperation & Urgency

In the video the man also mentions that the land belongs to India, the non-Muslims and the Sikhs. Hence they should come back and reclaim what is theirs.

The man’s desperation and urgency are both quite evident as he is asking for India’s help on a video message and sharing it on social media, standing on Pakistan’s soil. It is important to note that asking for India’s help is considered treason in Pakistan and can lead to strict legal executions.

Back Story of This Man and His Property

Wasim Malik’s family migrated to PoK in 1947 when they were given the ownership of the house in Muzaffarabad.

These properties were of Hindus and Sikhs who were either killed and murdered during the 1947 communal riots or somehow managed to escape to Jammu. There were thousands of such abandoned properties of non-Muslims at that time, which were captured by the Pakistan Government and were later distributed among Muslims in that region seeking shelter.
