A horrific video has surfaced which shows a Russian man almost getting his head torn due to elevator malfunction. The ‘revenge of the machine’ like incident was reported from an apartment block Russia’s Krasnodar city.
Following the incident, residents of the apartment block were interviewed where they mentioned how the elevator had been “shaking” weeks before the mishap occurred. The incident’s video was caught on CCTV, visuals of which are widely being shared.
In the hair-raising CCTV footage, a man absent-mindedly walks into a lift while keeping his eyes glued to the phone. Before the man could enter, the elevators door close. The man tries to block the door in a desperate bid to get in. However, the elevator rises up and the man is forced to pull back with lightning-fast reflexes.
After the incident that could’ve ended tragically, the Krasnodar mayor’s office told local media 93.RU that the elevators in the residential block are under the service of a management company, and the incident is being probed.
The mayor’s office is also reported to be planning to send a letter to the State Housing Inspectorate so that the elevator’s condition is inspected.
Earlier in May, a similar incident occurred in Kerala where a 54-year-old man got his head stuck in a lift and died.
The Facts of the Matter

This popular quote from HBO’s blockbuster series Game of Thrones was embodied by a man in Russia, after he cheated what seemed to be a sure shot critical incident, and escaped without a scratch. The incident was reported from an apartment block Russia’s Krasnodar city.
The man, thanks to his fate, or God, or reflexes, saved himself from getting his head chopped off by an elevator.

Revenge of the Machines
At a residential complex called “Yasny”, located in Krasnodar city’s Stroiteley Street, a man entered the elevator, only to have his head coming inches closed to being chopped off by the elevator malfunctioning.
Following the incident, residents were interviewed by local media, who told that for weeks the elevator has been shaking and making noises. A man had come to repair it, and yet the elevator continued to malfunction.
The man’s narrow-escape was caught on CCTV.

In the video gone viral, approaches to enter an elevator and tries to enter absent-mindedly with his eyes glued on the screen. The man is soon forced to pay attention, as the elevator doors shut before he could enter. In a desperate bid to enter the elevator, the man tries to block the closing doors. However, in no time, the elevator’s doors closes and it moves up, and the man is forced to move back with lightning-fast reflexes.

The Aftermath
The Krasnodar mayor’s office told local media house 93.RU that on October 9, the building elevators would be serviced by an elevator management company under contract. Meanwhile, the cause of the incident is being invested.
Further the Mayor’s office also promised that its department will probe the Criminal Code, and check other work with the applications it received. Moreover, the department is also expected to send a letter to State Housing Inspectorate to probe the incident.
