The trailer of Hungama 2 is finally here! Shilpa Shetty ends her 14-year industry break with Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2, which is a sequel to his 2003 hit film Hungama. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, and other star cast, but as soon as the trailer went out, the netizens seemed a bit disappointed by the makers and the cast and the trailer also sparked memes on social media platforms like twitter.

According to the trailer, Shilpa Shetty portrays as the young and beautiful wife of Paresh Rawal’s character Radheshyam Tiwari, who doubts that his wife is having an affair with a young man (played by Meezaan). Paresh Rawal reprised his role as Radheshyam Tiwari from the 2003 film.

Hungama 2 trailer shows Meezaan’s character trying to clear the confusion that he is the father of his college sweetheart’s baby girl with the help of Shilpa Shetty. And he tries to make the way out of the chaos.

The trailer also comprises the remixed version of the Nineties track Chura Ke Dil Mera Goriya Chali from Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar’s 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

Shilpa Shetty shared the trailer on Twitter, sharing it, she captions: “Khatam hua aapka aur mera intezaar, Hungama 2 ka trailer lekar, laut aayi hoon main after 14 saal! It’s double the fun, double the madness, double the hungama to tickle your funny bones! Streaming from 23rd July.”

The movie’s release and the star cast

Priyadarshan is back with a new set of actors and veterans, with Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Manoj Joshi being the only ones retained from the first part. While the original had entertained audiences in the theatres before getting more popular on TV, the upcoming movie will release directly on an OTT platform.

Hungama 2 is all to hit the web on July 23 and will release on Disney+ Hotstar. The makers made the announcement, by sharing a brand new poster of the comedy.

Movie was planned to be released in 2020

The movie had been announced in late 2019 and was earlier gearing up for release on August 14 last year before the coronavirus pandemic struck. The shooting of the film was packed up on February 1. The movie is being produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain, and Armaan Ventures.
