Today scientists are scrambling to uncover new solutions to destroy the COVID-19 virus, which has expanded swiftly over the last year and a half all around the world. Meanwhile, In Italy, a gadget has been designed that is reported to be capable of destroying the COVID-19 virus in 50 milliseconds.

The corona virus particles residing within the boundary wall can be destroyed by this laser gadget. Internally, a virus-free surrounding has become skeptical in restricting the outbreak of this pandemic.

Details

A United Nations-based scientific research center has worked closely with an Italian technology enterprise to uncover if laser light may be deployed to destroy corona virus cells hovering in the air and thus retain indoor places safer.

The collaborative work between the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in Trieste, a northern Italian city, and the nearby Eltech K-Laser firm, commenced last year when COVID-19 pounded the country. They designed a model that propels air via a sterilization chamber with a laser beam filtration that demolishes viruses and germs.

Concerns are being voiced about the technology

Some health professionals have advised against deploying light-based technology to combat the virus that promotes COVID-19. Research released in the Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology in November 2020 revealed challenges varying from potential cancer threats to the absurdly high expense of light sources.

However, the equipment does not abolish viruses and bacteria that fall from the air onto surfaces or the floor. It also cannot protect against direct infection when an infected individual sneezes or chats loudly in close contact with somebody else.

A Brief about The Laser Beam Gadget

The portable invention’s prototype stands around 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) tall and weighs about 25 kg (55 lb). The virus particles residing within the boundary wall can be destroyed by this laser gadget. According to the firm, the innovation can also be deployed in air conditioning systems.

Serena Zacchigna, group head for Cardiovascular Biology at the ICGEB, elaborated-

“I tended to assume that lasers were more acceptable for a shaman than a doctor, but I’ve had to start rethinking. The device was shown to be capable of destroying viruses in less than 50 milliseconds”.

Viruses Are Destroyed Within 50 Milliseconds

Working mechanism – The air is routed via a laser beam in the equipment, which destroys viruses and germs.

Serena Zacchigna, leader of the Cardiovascular Biology Group at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, states-

“This tool destroys viruses in 50 milliseconds. This equipment has substantially influenced my outlook on laser technology.”

Healthier indoor surroundings with a notably decreased pathogen count are rated mandatory for public health in the aftermath of the COVID-19 emergency, a respiratory virus infection that has claimed the lives of over four million individuals globally in just 18 months.

As Per the Producers, “the equipment is impeccably safe”

Eltech K-Laser has obtained an Italian patent and is aiming to promote it globally. According to Zanata-

“Nature is used versus nature in our invention. It is completely safe for humans and practically recyclable.”

However, Zacchigna and Zanata ruled out any medical and health concerns, citing that the laser doesn’t ever get in line with human skin.

This invention is guarded by a patent owned by the firm. The firm is aiming to take this tool to an international level as quickly as possible. At the very same time, because of its tiny size, it is simple to transport anyplace. It stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 25 kg.
