Indore Techie Jumps to Death from 7th Floor on New Year’s Eve, Mentions ‘Painful Disease’ in Suicide Note

An Indore-based techie recently jumped to her death from the 7^th floor of her building on the New Year’s Eve. The deceased techie also mentioned a ‘painful disease’ in her suicide note, reports state. The deceased in the matter was identified as 22-year-old Prathma Chowkse, who reportedly worked remotely for an IT firm located in Hyderabad. The horrific turn-of-events was reported from Satguru Gokul Residency, located in Indore’s Race Course Road.

According to reports, before taking the grave step, the woman had partied with her friends. She had come to stay at her friend’s flat located at the ninth floor of Satguru Gokul Residency two days back. As per the deceased’s friend’s statement, two more friends had come to her flat on the evening of the incident, and all of them were working on their computers and chit-chatting.

Sometime around 3 am in the morning, Prathama’s friends had gone to sleep and she decided to stay awake. After a while, the watchman of the building found the lifeless body pf Prathama lying in the pool of her own blood. The watchman informed the police and an investigation was carried.

As per the preliminary investigation, police recovered Prathama’s laptop, on which she wrote a elaborate letter, stating that she was suffering from a painful disease.

In October 2022, the bustling city of Indore was shocked by the news of Manish Lulla’s suicide. Manish Lulla was the owner of Indore’s popular bakery chain called Cakes N’ Craft. Lulla’s bakery chained had outlets in Indore, Ujjain, Jaipur, Rewa, and Bhilai. Days after the suicide, the police were reported to be clueless about what caused Lulla to take such a grave step.

Techie was Working Remotely

Months after the Manish Lulla suicide, Indore recently reported another such case, where a 22-year-old woman took her life by jumping from the 7^th floor of a building on the evening of New Year’s. The deceased in the matter was identified as Prathama Chowkse, a techie who was working remotely in Indore, while being employed with a Hyderabad-based company.

Prathama had Gotten Together with Friends

According to reports, Prathama, and two others had come to her friend’s flat in Satguru Gokul Residency, located in Indore’s Race Course Road. She and her friends had gathered to celebrate the New Year’s together and were at a flat which was on the 7^th floor of the 9 floor building.

As the night progressed, Prathama and her friends were chatting and working on their laptops. Sometime around 3 am, her friends decided to call it a night and went to sleep while Prathama remained awake. In a short while, the watchman of the residential building found Prathama’s lifeless corpse lying in the pool of her own blood.

Suicide Letter Reveals Crucial Insight

The watchman alerted the cops and an investigation ensued. The cops seized Prathama’s laptop, in which they found a two-page suicide note penned by her. Inspector Kamlesh Sharma of Tukoganj police station was quoted in an India Today report saying, “A two-page suicide note was recovered from her laptop, which states that she was suffering from a painful disease, about which she was not able to tell to her parents”.
