Winning the toss, Mumbai Indians chose to bat first. The team got a fiery start thanks to Ishan Kishan who hit the opening bowlers Mohammad Nabi and Siddarth Kaul for boundaries and sixes. MI Reaches Hundred, Wickets Fall
Kishan showed no sign of slowing down and continued going after whichever bowler dared to dismiss him. From Rashid Khan to Umran Malik, Kishan scored boundaries one after the other. Soon Mumbai Indians reached its hundred.

Thankfully, Kishan got the support of Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav reached to his fifty in 24 balls and helped MI reach past 200 run bench mark with 3 overs to spare. He continued his onslaught till the final over, playing an 82-run inning off 40 balls.

Chase Begins, SRH Starts Well
Chasing a mammoth 236 run total, Sunrisers too had a delightful start. Both Jason Roy and Abhishek Sharma hit multiple boundaries in each over. By the end of the powerplay, Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored a decent 70 with the loss of 1 wicket.

Openers Dismissed, Manish Pandey Steadies Boat
Soon, Mohammad Nabi and Abdul Samad were dismissed leaving Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg to steady the boat. The duo tried to do the same and stitched together a partnership. However, in 15th over, Garg fell to Bumrah and was dismissed at 29 off 21.
SRH Humbled, MI Knocked Out
Manish Pandey continued with his inning, but received no support from the other end. The tail of Sunrisers fell short and the team was restricted at 193/8. Although Mumbai Indians got knocked out of the tournament, its players had one final reason to smile in the end.
