The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released the first video footage showing their Chandrayaan-3 mission’s Pragyan rover moving across the lunar surface. This comes after ISRO’s tweet announcing that the rover had successfully deployed from the Vikram lander and taken its first steps on the moon. With this achievement, India became the first nation to successfully soft-land a spacecraft near the south pole of the moon. The Chandrayaan-3 mission and its Pragyan rover represent a historic milestone for ISRO and India’s space program. This video offers the first glimpse of the rover in action on the moon as a result of the Vikram lander’s successful landing.
