On Sunday, the family of Jackie Miller James, a pregnant influencer who was placed in a medically induced coma due to an aneurysm, announced with joy that she had been brought out of the coma and was awake and reunited with her baby. On Instagram, they stated that all of the loving prayers sent to Jackie had been heard and she was making progress at a rate that even surprised her doctors. Though Jackie still has a long journey to full recovery, her family expressed their joy that she was able to make it this far.

“Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country. The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers, and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery and is progressing more with every passing day.” The family added that “while Jackie is making wonderful strides, she has an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her.”

When Miller James’ child was born, she was in a medically induced coma and was unable to be physically present. Despite this heartbreaking situation, her presence could still be felt as the newborn was placed in her arms for a moment that was captured in a photo and shared on a GoFundMe page. Unfortunately, the baby had to be admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit for 12 days, but luckily they both are now doing very well.

“Jackie & Austin’s baby girl is a constant source of light for the entire family and continues to grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel,” the family’s update read. “Jackie has also recently been reunited with her baby, and spends a great deal of each day with her entire family while in the hospital.”

Jackie Miller James, a 35 year-old social media beauty influencer, was at home when she suffered a devastating aneurysm that caused her to experience serious bleeding around the brain. As a result, her husband Austin discovered his pregnant wife and quickly drove her to the ICU, where both a C-section birth and Brain surgery needed to be performed immediately. Her family has since organized a GoFundMe to help cover medical costs.

“If Jackie and the baby arrived a few minutes later at the hospital, we likely would have lost both of them. James’ sisters, Natalie and Nicelle, said on the fundraising site. “But instead, Jackie is continuing to fight for her life each day and we are optimistic she can beat the odds by surrounding her with the right specialists and methods of therapy.”

Miller James is a prominent Instagram influencer who has been chronicling her pregnancy journey with her 27,000+ followers. She has been regularly updating her followers with details on her daily routines, skincare, and symptoms. Besides her current role as an influencer, Miller James has previously worked for six years as a staff member at a plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills, following her five-year stint living in New York where she experienced a variety of exciting opportunities as a backup dancer for various artists.
