Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah tied knots with TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan on Monday and the pictures are aww-so-amazing. The couple on Monday took to their respective social media accounts and shared a few weddings and haldi pictures. Since then, much to the delight of Indian cricket fans, more pictures by celebrity photographer Joseph Radhik have surfaced online.

Monday was a memorable day for the Indian pacer and his new partner Sanjana as they tied nuptial knot in Goa. Many Indian fans were contemplating about Bumrah’s absence in the fourth and last Test against England and the two T20 Internationals that followed. As to the official reasons, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had released the star Indian pacer for “personal reasons”. But to much of the delight of his fans, they found out that the star Indian pacer took the leave of absence to start the new spell of a new innings.

Post his wedding; Jasprit shared a few lovely images of him and his new life partner Sanjana having the traditional Gurudwara wedding. The couple donned with the loveliest outfits are seen looking at each other in one picture, and then in the middle of a traditional fera.

“Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course,” wrote Jasprit in his heartfelt Instagram caption, “Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana”

For their wedding outfits, the couple chose celebrity designer Sabyasachi and wore a colour-coordinated outfit. The Indian pacer looked dapper in the pale pink sherwani accessorized with the traditional golden kirpan and a warrior-prince like turban.

Sanjana too played the Punjabi princess counterpart well and wore a Sabyasachi bridal lehenga “meticulously embroidered using silk floss” and accessorized it with the Sabyasachi heritage collection jewelry.

What do we know about Sanjana Ganesan, the new inning-partner of Jasprit Bumrah?

Sanjana Ganesan is a sports presenter and host who has primarily acquired fan following by presenting various cricket shows on Star Sports for IPL. Sanjana came into the limelight for the first time in 2012 when she participated in the 2012 Femina Style Diva fashion show. The next year, in 2013 she participated in the Femina Miss India Pune and was one of the finalists. Since then, there was no looking back for Sanjana. In 2014, she participated in Splitsvilla 7, one of the most popular reality show amongst teens. However, owing it to an injury she had to drop out of the show. She went on to host the Premier Badminton League (PBL) and also presented the Indian Super League pre-and-post game shows. In 2018, she hosted the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

After the couple announced their wedding on Instagram, several former and current Indian cricketers commented on their posts and wished them luck. Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh wished his fellow Punjabi cricketer saying, “Congratulations sohne sardar. Wishing you both happiness of lifetime.” Current Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who came back to his form in the last T20 against England commented, “Congratulations and God bless you both. Much love.”

Twitter also sang the same song as several Indian and International cricketers came together and wished the couple well for their wedding. However, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals stole the thunder and tweeted a rib-tickling tweet.
