Popular celebrity Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck recently got married in Las Vegas in a small and intimate ceremony. The reports of JLo marrying her long-time partner emerged first when online records for the Clark County, Nevada showed the couple to have filed for their marriage on Saturday.
The record showed their legal names and interestingly, the record also showed that JLo took Affleck as her legal second name. With the new development, Jennifer Lopez will be legally addressed as Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
On Sunday, the pop singer confirmed taking vows with Affleck through her newsletter in which she wrote “We did it!”. Lopez mentioned how the couple flew to Vegas, and stood in line with other couples for a marriage license to get married.
“Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things — and worth waiting for,” her letter read.
The couple, fondly called Bennifer by American media, got engaged back in 2002. They separated in 2004, and their relationship rekindled in May 2021.

The news was confirmed by JLo herself who shared the development through her newsletter. “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world,” her letter read

The news of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck getting married first emerged after a marriage license was filed on Saturday and was posted on the Clark County’s clerk office online database. In the database, the duo was registered as Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Interestingly, JLo also had Jennifer Affleck listed as her second name.
