In Jharkhand, a 14-year-old tribal girl was allegedly raped and hanged from a tree, causing opposition to outrage on social media. The incident was reported from Dumka district. The incident comes just days after another girl was burned to death after she refused a man’s proposal in Dumka. The spike in crimes against women and minors has caused the ruling government in the state to draw flak.

Various members of Bhartiya Janata Party took to their Twitter handle and shared the incident, calling for action to be taken against the accused. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya took to Twitter and wrote, “After Ankita Singh, now Arman Ansari rapes a minor Tribal girl, murders and hangs her from a tree in Dumka. Dalits and Tribals in Jharkhand are not safe under Hemant Soren. He has allowed radical elements to take over while he is busy allotting mining lease to himself and family.”

The 14-year-old victim, a tribal girl, was allegedly raped by a man on the pretext of marriage and was later found hanging from a tree in Dumka. The victim’s mother claimed that her daughter was raped and killed on the pretext of marriage.

The Facts of the Matter

Another incident of crime against tribal was reported from Jharkhand’s Dumka district, following which a communal spin was given to the entire matter, with many members of BJP invoking terms like “love Jihad” on Twitter.

Accused Arrested

The victim was a 14-year-old girl who was found hanging from a tree in Jharkhand’s Dumka district. Following the incident, it was revealed that a man identified as Arman Ansari, committed the crime. Ansari was booked under sections of IPC, POCSO Act & SC/ST Act and was arrested.

BJP Leaders Mention “Love Jihad” While Attacking Jharkhand Govt

BJP leader Babulal Marandi took to Twitter and wrote, “The news from Dumka is blood boiling. It is alleged that this tribal girl was hanged on a tree after being raped by a youth named Armaan Ansari yesterday. Armaan is arrested. How many more tribal girls will be the victims of such scoundrels in Jharkhand?”.

“According to the information received, this Santal tribal girl was just fourteen years old, a victim of Armaan’s jihadi desires. The possibility of this matter being linked to the International Network of Love Jihad also cannot be ruled out,” he further tweeted.

IT Cell Head Attacks Hemant Soren Led Govt

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya also attacked the Hemant Soren government and tweeted, “After Ankita Singh, now Armaan Ansari rapes a minor tribal girl, murders and hangs her from a tree in Dumka. Accused a Mason, Raped Victim Under Pretext of Marriage

Earlier on Saturday, the tribal victim was identified as a village near the Ranishwar police station area. The victim was a daily wager who allegedly came in contact with the accused, who is a mason by profession. Many reports have also mentioned that the accused raped the victim under the pretext of marriage.
