In a shocking incident reported from Karnataka, a bride’s face was completely disfigured in the aftermath of a make-up appointment, following which the groom called off the wedding. Meanwhile, the beautician, who was doing the bride’s make-up, was detained for questioning. The entire ordeal took a turn for even worse, when the bride had to be rushed to ICU after her face had burns due to the botched make-up.

The young bride from Jajur village in Karnataka’s Hassan district was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a disfigured face after getting her makeup done for her wedding by a beautician in Arsikere town, police said on Friday. The incident came to light on Friday when the victim’s family raised the alarm.

According to the police, the victim had visited the Gangashri Herbal Beauty Parlour and Spa in Arsikere town ten days ago to get her makeup done. The beautician, Ganga, had used a new type of makeup on the victim, which caused her face to become swollen and disfigured. Ganga had assured the victim that the makeup was safe to use, but the victim suffered from an allergic reaction after the application.

As a result of the disfigurement, the groom called off the wedding, and the Arasikere City police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.

Bride Gets Botched Up Makeup at ‘Herbal’ Beauty Parlour

During her appointment Ganga claimed to have a new kind of makeup, which she applied to the bride’s face. Initially, the bride was excited about the new look. However, the excitement soon turned into horror when the beautician applied the foundation and steam treatment. Due to unreported reaction, the woman’s face burned and was swollen, leaving her disfigured.

Upon seeing her condition, the groom was shocked and decided to cancel the wedding. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she is receiving treatment. The woman’s family filed a police complaint against the beauty parlour owner, Ganga.
